More Than a Conqueror by Kelly Egan

MORE THAN A CONQUEROR…..

by Kelly Egan

I am better than a life of abuse.  I am wiser than I was when I lived as a victim of that abuse.  I am stronger, because I not only endured, but survived the abuse.

I am loved by my Creator and I am thankful he pulled me out of an abusive cycle.

            ….Therefore; I shall never forget where I came from……

My heart is not proud because I cannot direct my own path.

I am better when I am weak, for then I must rely on my Father’s strength.

Tears are an external verification of a humble, broken, and healing spirit.

I am thankful for the tears that keep me on my knees, bringing healing to my life.

I do not doubt my Maker, I can only doubt myself.

Emotions are misleading and the mind is so deceiving.

I am rich, because I am poor, and not forgetful that hell is what I was headed for.

My mistakes are just reminders to keep me from my past. My talents are the gifts he wants me to share with others.

My dreams are my motivation and my hope for the future.  My prayers are my direction and keep my heart free of fear.

My bible is my weapon and protection from the world.  It keeps my mind focused, while keeping my faith restored.

God’s voice is my comfort and his love my best of friend.  His hand is my protection and his Word, my only Weapon.

I am who I am, because that’s how he created me.  I cannot be anything else, or I’m not walking in his will for me.

I am his light to a lost and dying world, A witness to all he’s done…

Not a judge or criticizer of those he’s called; yet didn’t come.

I am a Forgiver because he’s forgiven me.  I am a giver, because he’s so freely given to me.  I’m not a Psychic, for only he knows the future.  I’m not a follower, because he’s made me a leader.

I love much because he first loved me.  I am not perfect, or I’d have died on Calvary’s tree.  I’m not a doctor, but Jesus is my healer.  I’m nothing more than you; I’m just simply a Believer…

I’m not a magician, I’ve just the faith of a mustard seed.  I’ve witnessed many personal mountains be cast into the sea. I’m not a trained speaker, the Holy Spirit anoints me.  My words are not my own, my Lord is simply using me.

I’ll give an account for every misdeed, so I’ll bring every thought into captivity.

I’m no longer a slave, I’ve been set free.  No chains on my wrists as I trample serpents under my feet. I cannot be bought, for I’m owned by the Blood, the blood of my Jesus; my Father’s only son.

He’s the greatest gift creation could ever receive.  He changed the course of my life and my entire destiny. It wasn’t really hard when I finally made the choice. I had to crucify my past and praise him with my voice.

I cried out from my heart apologies for my sins.  I asked for his will, so my life could begin.  Life still has troubles, yet his power overcomes…I’m more than a CONQUEROR, thanks to Jesus…God’s son!!

I’m so glad that Kelly wanted to post her poetry on http://www.shalenadiva.com because I love to see people turn their tragedies into triumph in their own unique way. I think we should write, sing, journal, create music, paint, or do anything else… that will help us express our true feelings and stories that can bless others. I now know that I, too, am more than a conqueror. With God, I can achieve so many things. To God be the glory!

You remember in the word of God Shay Jesus said all we needed to have was faith as small as a muster seed. My faith is big that’s why I said I got Grape fruit faith its bigger than a muster seed. But that’s all Jesus said we needed.
